Kinetic Roast
Case study
Orders on their own termsThe challenge
A specialty coffee roaster with strong walk-in trade and a growing wholesale list, but a website that did little more than list opening hours. Online orders ran through a generic marketplace that took a cut, buried the brand, and offered no real menu browsing — so the site sent visitors to a third party instead of to the till.
Our approach
We rebuilt the site from a blank canvas around the café's actual buying journey: a sunlit, appetite-led homepage, an interactive menu with seasonal specials, and per-product add-to-cart pages so customers order directly from the roaster. Local SEO foundations put the café in front of nearby searchers, and the design was shaped to feel like the café's own room rather than a marketplace listing.
The result
The site now turns drop-ins into online orders on the roaster's own terms, keeps the full margin, and lets the brand lead with its seasonal story. Wholesale enquiries route to a single form, and the menu updates in minutes without a developer.
“It finally looks like our café, and the orders come straight to us instead of through someone else's app.”
What we built
A custom commerce build for a Brisbane specialty coffee roaster. The homepage leads with the seasonal menu and a warm, sunlit visual identity that mirrors the café itself.
An interactive menu with seasonal specials and per-product add-to-cart pages lets customers order directly from the roaster, keeping the full margin and the brand in the relationship. Local SEO foundations put the café in front of nearby searchers, and a dedicated wholesale enquiry form routes bulk interest to one inbox.
